All consultants and staff members representing Stanford Management Consulting have signed agreements to abide by the Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC USA) Code of Ethics.
All IMC USA members and Certified Management Consultants® (CMCs®) pledge in writing to uphold the Institute’s Code of Ethics — signifying voluntary commitment to professional excellence and self-discipline.
As the professional association and certifying body for management consultants in the U.S., IMC USA requires adherence to this Code as a condition of membership and certification. These standards of conduct define the basic principles of ethical consulting practice.
The Code guides consultants in maintaining professionalism, integrity, and accountability in service to clients, colleagues, and the public. Consultants and CMCs® are subject to IMC USA’s Rules of Procedure for Enforcement if their conduct violates the Code or brings discredit to the profession.
